Distance Learning Camp (1st grade - 6th grade) : August 24 - September 4Brief summary: August 24th - September 4thDetails: Distance Learning Camp (1st grade to 6th grade) from 8:00 am-2:30 pm As the county-wide distance learning mandate was announced we at The Cave immediately went to work out how we can help. We will be offering Distance Learning Camp for our students. We can offer a safe distanced space where students can get their school work done, and have an amazing physical outlet throughout their day. Students will have adult help facilitating their school work and making sure they meet all of their daily school requirements and attend any scheduled video meetings. We have a robust high-speed network to handle the demands of this program. We are converting our upstairs space into a workspace that can easily accommodate 15 students at workstations with ample distance between them. As we all know that sitting in front of a screen for hours is not ideal for our kids we are offering both standing desks and floor desks so students can do their school work in a more physically healthy environment. Learning environments that integrate movement and multiple work positions have been shown to greatly improve productivity and intellectual studies. Students are encouraged to bring their own devices that they are familiar with. Laptops, Chromebooks, or tablets with keyboards are recommended. We will have some workstations available for students that do not have devices. Internal schedules will be dependent on each individual student's schedule. We will group together students from the same school and grade to help facilitate the learning environment. Students can sign up in 3-week blocks, or sign up for the full semester from August 24th-December 18th. 3-week block: $2,000 Full semester 17 weeks: $8,500 (billed in 3-week blocks) *Please reach out to the office if you like to sign up for the full semester* 25 % sibling discounts apply If you have any questions or concerns feel free to reach out to the office at staff@inthecave.com or 415 927 1630.
