Hello Athletes!
The 2026 CrossFit Open is officially here!
For 16 years, The CrossFit Games season has kicked off with The Open, an online competition for the global CrossFit community. CrossFit athletes around the world come together to test themselves within the largest fitness competition in the world. It’s a chance to push and test yourself while completing a series of workouts in your gym, with your people, while being a part of something much larger.
We encourage ALL of our members at The Cave to participate!
What is The CrossFit Open?
In 2011 The Open was born as participation in The CrossFit Games grew. Over the years the format to The Open has changed, but the mission has remained the same – create a CrossFit community
The competition is accessible to athletes of all levels. It is rigorous enough to challenge the top athletes that we see at The CrossFit Games, as well as available to someone who just started CrossFit. This is what makes The Open so unique – we all have a place to participate. For a great article on The Open, why everyone can do it, and a little history, read here.
Sign up for $20, do the workouts, and enter your scores.
You’ll be ranked in relation to your peers in your age division, competition region, and worldwide. Workouts are released online each Thursday at 12:00 p.m. (PST) Athletes have until the following Monday at 5:00 p.m. (PST) to submit their scores.
The format for the 2026 CrossFit Open is 3 weeks, 3 workouts. That’s it.

Workout 26.3 – March 12-16
We’re continuing the tradition of kicking off Workout 26.1 as a community workout with heats on Saturday, February 28, and then we’ll do the following two workouts on the two Fridays after the announcements.
