2025/2026 Season Men’s Team Intrasquad

, ,

Every year we hold an intrasquad meet at the gym to get the boy’s ready for the competition season. The meet gives our athletes the opportunity to perform their routines in front of people for the first time and be judged rigorously on their performance.

This year we have a new squad of level 4 athletes. We have chosen to push this group to level 4 so that we have a good team that can compete together. The skill level is a stretch for these first year competitors, and we are excited to see their growth and development through the season.

This year we broke the group into two squads to keep the meet within the 3 hours planned for this event. Our compulsory athletes (level 4 and 5) and the optional athletes (level 8) competed separately.

Amazing group of people. Athletes, coaches, and parents all working together to make a great program.

Level 4 started on floor and optionals started on vault. Both groups following Olympic order from that point. Floor, pommel horse, rings, vault, parallel bars, and high bar is the order of the events.

After each group competed an event Roger would review the routines with the athletes. This way they can see directly where their deductions were and determine key things they can improve in their routines.

The meet was a great kick off to the competitive season. Our first invitational meet is the weekend of January 9th. The West Coast Classic in Pleasanton.
