2025 Ohana Surf Classic Results

,

The Cave’s Men’s Gymnastics team has an annual tradition of attending the Ohana Surf Classic and using that as an excuse to head down to Santa Cruz for some fun at the boardwalk, dinner with families, and a general good time.

All of the boys competed on Sunday. Our first session was our level 3 and 4 athletes.

Our level 3 athletes Senai and Jackson continue to develop their routines showing in the middle of the pack at this meet.

Our lone level 4 Maxwell had a fantastic meet hitting all of his routines clean, and being on the podium for every event.

Level 3s and 4s start their meet

Floor – 2nd, Pommel Horse – 1st, Rings – 1st, Vault – 3rd, Parallel Bars – 1st, High Bar – 2nd, 1st place All Around!!

This meet was a little different for our optional athletes. Our athletes are registered level 7 USAG athletes. This meet was done under the NGA rules. Though the rules are similar, there are differences in the requirements, and how routines are scored. Our group competed with the level 8 NGA athletes and performed very well.

Nicco B. – 2nd Rings, 3rd Vault, 2nd High Bar

Jasper D. – 2nd Floor, 3rd Pommel Horse, 2nd Vault, 3rd Rings

Aiden Z – 3rd Floor, 2nd Pommel Horse, 1st Vault, 3rd Rings (tied with Jasper), 2nd All Aaround

Teo C. – 1st Floor, 2nd Rings, 3rd Vault, 3rd High Bar, 3rd All Aaround

So The Cave swept both floor, and vault. We were also 2nd, 3rd, and 4th all around. A great showing from our Men’s team.
